Always remember, when you first purchase your new vehicle take it a little easy on it during that breaking in period, which is said to be about the first 1,000 miles. A few things to keep in mind during this time such as keeping your speed around & under 55, avoid towing, pulling or hauling very large loads, do not let your vehicle sit and idle for long periods of time and use light to medium accelerating until you have broken your new ride in a bit.
Now make sure to always keep your brake fluid topped off and check it monthly. Be sure to clean away any dirt from the master cylinder lid before opening it. If you are in need of fluid make sure to use the type recommended by your vehicles maker and don’t ever substitute any other type of fluid, this can be very damaging. Also never use brake fluid from a previously opened container, once it has been exposed to the air the brake fluid absorbs moisture and contaminates easily.
When filling up at the pump, always remember to go to a well known name station. You don’t want to run the risk of getting a tank full of dirty gas at one of these not so known places. Some stations don’t have pump filters, which could make you more likely to get dirty gasoline. Or some stations may not mix alcohol and fuel correctly or even worse they may even water down their gasoline product. So stick with the ones you know & trust to be safe and worry free!
Everyone likes to have a clean and clear windshield to see out of , it’s also a matter of safety too. Always remember when filling your windshield washer reservoir always fill with windshield wiper fluid, never use water. Not only does it not work as well, it can freeze in very cold weather & there are many ways it can cause damage to the wiper system. Also never try and use your wipers after the fluid is out, this can cause damage to the pump.
